Smoky satellite photo shows what you need to know about fires ravaging the Arctic

The Arctic, beset by unusually warm temperatures this summer, is ripe for flames.  Parched forests and dense vegetation across the expansive region have been ignited relatively easily by lightning strikes. Hundreds of wildfires are now burning in Siberia, wafting dense smoke over the high northern region.  “The unusual thing about this year has been the number and distribution of fires north of the Arctic Circle in Siberia, Alaska, and more recently in Canada,” said Mark… Read More »Smoky satellite photo shows what you need to know about fires ravaging the Arctic

Snapchat trolls Instagram with ‘real friends’ ad campaign

Snapchat is finally growing again, and it’s using that momentum to engage in some (not so) subtle trolling of its biggest rival: Instagram. ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’: How do you solve a puzzle like Cliff?

Spoilers follow for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.  Though Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton is the big TV star and Margot Robbie’s Sharon Tate the rising starlet, it is Brad Pitt’s Cliff Booth who is undoubtedly the hero of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.  Cliff is the film’s resident badass, a stuntman who gets up to even cooler stuff off-camera than on. He spends his downtime on set sparring with Bruce Lee, and his… Read More »‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’: How do you solve a puzzle like Cliff?
